Large 'V" shaped panel on chest area extending from upper seam to belt seam.There is a horizontal seam or double-topstitched line that runs across the upper chest, but does not extend around the back. Approximately 1.5" (38.1mm) tall mandarin collar with a chevron shaped, left-over-right Velcro closure.One piece black coverall/jumpsuit/flight suit with a front invisible zipper.

A balaclava is a black head sock/hood that is worn under the helmet and is used primarily to hide any view of the wearer’s skin and/or facial hair.Hose is trimmed as short as possible to retain head movement.Hose is spiral wound ( NOT individual rings).

Black Ribbed Hoses with a 1.25 (31.75mm) to 1.5" (38.1mm) diameter on each end and 15" (381mm) to 21" (533mm) of length from the helmet hose ports to the upper chest box hose ports.

TIE FIGHTER PILOT CODE

  • A machined aluminum round 1" (25.4mm)diameter disc with a mounted plastic retaining clip (Nissan retaining clips are most common) matching those used in the trident may be used instead of the standard code disc (To be used ONLY in conjunction with 2 hose chestbox ).
  • Helmet utilizes only markings as seen in film.
  • Cogs must be silver with a black vinyl backround.
  • OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable):
  • Colors of markings may be silver, brushed aluminum or gunmetal silver, but must remain consistent throughout.
  • Rubber trim on the bottom opening of the helmet.
  • Nissan retaining clips are most commonly used.
  • There are two plastic retaining clips in the recessed areas on either side of the middle trident piece on the forehead.
  • The box portion is black, the lid is white creating a white border where the box attaches to the helmet.
  • There is a “pill box” on the lower portion of the mohawk on the back of the helmet.
  • Two 2.75" (69.85mm) diameter Imperial emblems in silver or white should be on the crest of the helmet as seen in the diagrams found on the "TIE Helmet Detail page" in the link above.
  • Code disk has a notch in it on the outermost disk.
  • The helmet has imperial code disks (greeblies) affixed to the ear wells.
  • If the teeth are cut out, the openings must be backed by mesh so that the face is not seen.
  • The frown between the teeth may optionally be cut out.
  • Helmet may have flat or bubbled lenses in dark gray or dark green.

    GMLs are free to approve this costume type. This Visual Guide has been reviewed by the detachment staff and the LMO team and is certified for use as a minimum approval guideline for GMLs. Features listed in blue or red are not required for 501st approval, but are noted here for those interested in these additional details. While the Jolly Roger Squadron does not have any detachment specific costume certification programs, some parts of the costume below may be shared with other detachments that do.
